Liger Mobility has unveiled its Liger X and Liger X+ electric scooters, which feature an auto-balancing system that enhances rider safety, comfort and convenience. This means that the electric scooters can remain balanced and stable when they are not being ridden or supported by the rider. Liger uses advanced AI algorithms to keep its scooters balanced by shifting the center of gravity. The Auto Balancing system uses proprietary AI algorithms to process over 9,000 data points per second collected from the vehicle, ensuring the scooter stays balanced when the Auto Balancing feature is activated.
Liger Mobility's Auto Balancing system uses data from sensors placed around the scooter to keep it balanced while in use. Their proprietary algorithm uses this data and applies gyroscopic principles to ensure the vehicle remains upright. This self-balancing function is activated up to 5-7 kmph, which increases riding comfort. Once the scooter reaches a speed above 7 kmph, the system goes into standby mode and reactivates again when the speed drops to lower speeds. In simpler terms, the scooter has a built-in system that helps to keep it balanced at slower speeds, it's not necessary when the scooter is moving at higher speeds and the system automatically deactivates and reactivates when neededThe scooters will be available in five color options and will include several industry-first features such as feet on footboard, reverse ride, learner mode, and over-the-air updates. Both scooters will have a top speed of 65 km/h, with the Liger X having a range of 60 km and the Liger X+ having a range of 100 km. The Liger X+ will also include turn-by-turn navigation.
The Liger X electric scooter comes with a battery pack that can be easily detached and charged to full capacity in under three hours, whereas the Liger X+ has a built-in non-detachable battery that can be fully charged in around 4.5 hours. Both models will also offer the option of fast charging, however this service will come at an additional cost.
Both versions of Liger Mobility's electric scooters are 4G and GPS enabled, and come with an accompanying app that allows riders to see the real-time location of the vehicle, view ride history, battery percentage and temperature. Users will also receive smart alerts for things like towing, accidents, and service reminders. The Liger X+ will also include turn-by-turn navigation, and will allow the rider to view phone calls and messages on the scooter's TFT display.
