Simple Energy officially inaugurated their first manufacturing plant in Tamil nadu - Simple vision 1.0

Indian electric two-wheeler market is becoming increasingly competitive as both established companies and startups launch new electric scooters with advanced features and long ranges. Simple Energy, a start-up company, has entered the market alongside Ola Electric. While Ola quickly became a market leader, Simple Energy faced criticism for not yet delivering any vehicles. To address these criticisms, Simple Energy opened its first manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu, investing around Rs 100 crore and employing 700 people. The company plans to release its own electric scooters to compete with Ola Electric and Ather Energy, who also have manufacturing plants in Tamil Nadu.

The Simple Energy electric scooters have received positive response from the public and the company was able to raise over Rs 100 crore in investments to set up its own manufacturing facility, the Simple Vision 1.0. The plant has the capability to produce 10 lakh scooters annually and includes facilities for electric vehicle assembly, electric motor production, battery production and testing centers. The company has already launched its maiden vehicle, the Simple One, for Rs 1.09 lakh and it will be competing with other electric scooters like Ather 450X and Ola S1 Pro.
