The Ampere Primus Electric Scooter is a new electric scooter recently unveiled by Greaves Electric Mobility. It will be available for purchase by the end of this year and can be pre-ordered on the company's website for a refundable deposit of 999 Rs. The Ampere Primus Electric Scooter will be available at a price point of 95,000/-. This scooter will feature a 3-kWh battery which has been tested to provide a range of 120 km on a single charge according to the standard conditions set by the ARAI (Indian driving cycle). It has a top speed of 77kmph and can accelerate from 0-40 km/hr in just around 4.2 seconds.

The design of the Ampere Primus Electric Scooter combines both classic and modern elements. It does not have any visible features that distinguish it as an electric scooter. Despite this, it still provides a comfortable riding experience with an ergonomic seating position, ample leg room and a 22L storage compartment. The primus comes with 4 colour options

The charging time for this vehicle is 4.5 hours with a 15 amps charger and 2.5 hours with a 25 amps charger. The company claims that this scooter can accelerate from 0-40 km/hr in just around 5 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 77kmph while carrying a load of 150 kilograms, making it a high-performance scooter. However, the braking system is drum type, which is below the standard for a scooter in this price range of 95,000. The front wheel is a 12-inch connected to a Telescopic suspension, while the rear wheel has Coil-Spring type suspension to enhance the rider's comfort.

The Ampere Primus Electric Scooter is equipped with an LCD instrument console that includes Bluetooth connectivity, navigation and three ride modes: Eco, City, and Power. Additionally, the scooter features a reverse mode, which could be useful when carrying a load on the back seat. Advanced functions like live tracking or anti-theft are not included, though.
