What's cool is how fast TVS sold these scooters. It took more than three years to sell the first 1 lakh units, but the next 1 lakh units sold in just 10 months. People in India seem to really like TVS's iQube scooter because it's a mix of good performance, convenience, and being good for the environment.

It's pretty cool that TVS becomes the first legacy brand to reach this milestone. And what's even more impressive is that they did it during these challenging times with the FAME II subsidy cut-off. This success shows that electric scooters have a bright future in Indian electric vehicle market. TVS is also good at coming up with new ideas.

TVS Motor Company is reportedly developing a more affordable version of its iQube electric scooter, which will offer only a small battery pack and lesser features.Features like TFT display and connectivity technology can be dropped to control price. This decision stems from the FAME II subsidy cuts that also affected sales figures for June 2023. The government subsidy on electric 2-wheelers was slashed by over 50%, adversely affecting their prices.
