The electric scooters are available in three models: iQube, iQube S, and iQube ST, and are powered by a 3.4 kWh battery that the company claims can provide a range of 100 km on a single charge. Both include features such as a 7-inch TFT display, HMI controls, and reverse parking.
The 5.1 kWh battery in the flagship iQube ST variant provides a range of up to 140 km on a single charge. iQube electric scooters have also surpassed TVS Motor Company's sales figures. In fact, the brand's sales increased by 8,103 units last month (October 2022) compared to 395 units in October 2021.
Last year, TVS and BMW Motorrad announced plans to expand their collaboration to develop, manufacture, and export electric vehicles (two-wheelers) from India. At the time, it was also revealed that TVS and BMW will collaborate to develop new platforms in the future mobility space by leveraging each other's emerging technologies. BMW Motorrad and TVS have been working together since 2013. Its models included the TVS RR310, BMW RR 310 310 GS, and Naked 310R.
Meanwhile, according to price information, the entry-level version of the iQube will be priced at Rs 99,130, while the top-end variant will be priced at Rs 1.08 lakh ex-showroom. Competitors in this price range include the Bajaj Chetak, Ather 450X, and Ola S1 e-scooter. Customers can now choose from a variety of colour schemes and powertrains with the new TVS iQube. This also provides consumers with more options when selecting an electric scooter.
