The third variant in Ola Electric's S1 series, the Ola S1 Air, has been launched in the country. The e-scooter starts at Rs 84,999. It is essentially a less expensive variant of the S1 and S1 Pro. The company has confirmed that deliveries of the new electric scooter will begin in the first quarter of 2023. Here are the key features of the newly released S1 Air Electric Scooter.
When it comes to the scooter's powertrain, the Ola S1 Air comes with a 2.47 kWh battery pack. This is less than the 3.97 kWh battery in the Ola S1 Pro. It takes about 4.5 hours to fully charge the battery. The Ola S1 Air is propelled by a 4.5kW motor. According to the manufacturer, this entry-level variant has a range of 101 kilometer in Eco mode and a top speed of 90 kilometer. Its battery pack can be fully charged in four hours and 30 minutes using a home charger. The e-scooter has three riding modes: Eco, Normal, and Sports
The new S1 Air weighs 99 kg less than the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro. The suspension on the electric scooter is handled by a traditional telescopic front fork and dual rear shock absorbers. Front and rear drum brakes are provided.
The Ola S1 Air has a storage capacity of 34 litre. It is marginally less expensive than its more expensive siblings. The simpler one-piece tubular grab handle and redesigned seat set it apart from the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro. In contrast to its premium siblings, which have curved floorboards, the new S1 Air has a flat floorboard, making it more practical.
The new Ola electric scooter comes with a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display with reversing functionality. It comes with Move OS 3.0 software, which includes features such as different profiles, moods, hill hold functionality, and a proximity alert
