ORXA MANTIS 2023 :- Expected price, range, Top speed and Features

Orxa Energies, a Bengaluru-based electric motorcycle startup, has opened a brand-new facility for manufacturing electric vehicles and battery assembly. This plant is located in Karnataka's Bommasandra Industrial Area. This new one-acre plant is currently capable of producing up to 20,000 Mantis electric motorcycles. It also has research and development sections, Mantis bike assembly stations, battery assembly lines, and a testing center for their products.

At India Bike Week (IBW) 2022, Orxa made a splash by revealing their amazing Mantis electric bike. This electric vehicle (EV) is pretty unique, and it's making confident statements about its capabilities, even taking on the potent Ultraviolette F77. Let's explore further what makes this electric motorcycle a compelling option for EV lovers and anyone who are interested in sustainable mobility.

The 18kW electric motor at the heart of the Mantis achieves an astounding peak power output of 28kW. According to the company, these figures translate to exciting acceleration, propelling the e-bike from 0 to 100 kmph in less than eight seconds. Furthermore, it has a top speed of 140 kmph, providing an exhilarating riding experience. All of this power is managed by a 9kWh fixed battery, which provides an estimated city range of roughly 200 kilometers and a good highway range of 150 kilometers on a single charge.

The Mantis can use a 15A charger, making it simple to charge the powerful battery. In less than 5.5 hours, this charger can fully recharge the battery. If you need to charge quickly, there is a fast-charger option that reduces the charging time to just 2.5 hours, enabling you to resume driving right away.
The Mantis does not disappoint in terms of features. It has LED lighting all around to improve visibility and safety, which is critical for electric vehicles. There's also a five-inch color TFT display with smartphone connectivity, which enhances your riding experience by delivering critical information and connectivity while you're on the road. The fundamentals of the motorcycle include a telescopic fork and a monoshock, which ensure a comfortable and stable ride. Reliable stopping power is provided by disc brakes on both wheels, complemented by alloy wheels, which enhance overall safety.

Despite its excellent performance, the Mantis is lightweight at 175 kg, which is critical for electric motorcycles. The seat height is a comfortable 810mm, making it suitable for riders of varied sizes. It also has a generous ground clearance of 180mm, allowing you to comfortably traverse a variety of road conditions and obstacles.

In terms of pricing, we can expect around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom) for this electric bike, making it an appealing alternative in the rapidly expanding electric motorbike market. To summarize, the Orxa Mantis electric bike combines amazing power, range, and features, paving the way for fun and environmentally conscientious road trips in India. It is well-positioned to make a huge impression in the field of electric vehicles, thanks to its remarkable characteristics and cheap pricing.
