In the world of personal mobility, Honda has been a prominent name associated with innovation and quality for decades. It is "first and last mile" mobility solution and is inspired from the '80s Honda Motocompo which was sold as a factory add on with Honda car's only in Japan.
The new Motocompacto will be launched on November and this EV will be sold online at a price of $995. It will be also available in Honda and Acura automobile dealerships.

Jane Nakagawa, vice president of the R&D Business Unit at American Honda Motor Co., Inc told, the Motocompacto is "Sold in conjunction with our new all-electric SUVs, Motocompacto supports our goal of carbon neutrality by helping customers with end-to-end zero-emissions transport."

Motocompacto has a sleek, minimalist design that is ideal for skins, stickers, decals, and other forms of customization. The most striking feature of the Motocompacto is its remarkable portability. With a simple folding mechanism, it transforms from a fully functional electric scooter into a compact, light and stackable carrying case that's easy to take along in a vehicle, on public transportation or store in tight places. Motocompacto was designed and developed by Honda engineers in Ohio and California.
Performance and top speed:
This Electric scooter is powered by a front wheel mounted permanent magnet direct drive electric motor. It is capable of producing power output of 490 W and 16Nm of peak torque. A 24 kmph max speed is something it is capable of.
Battery and range :
The new Honda Motocompacto is equipped with a compact 6.8Ah battery which can be charged using a 110v charger from 0 to 100 in 3.5 hours. The claimed range of this electric scooter is 19km.While its top speed and range may not match those of full-sized electric scooters, it is more than capable of handling short commutes and errands within city limits.
Dimensions:
The wheel base of the Motocompacto is 29.2 inches, while the seat height is 24.5 inches. Its folded dimensions are 29.2 inches, 21.1 inches, and 3.7 inches, respectively, while its ready-to-ride dimensions are 38.1 inches, 35 inches, and 17.2 inches. The electric scooter weighs 19 kilograms.

It features a comfy seat, foot pegs with a tight grip, on-board storage, a digital speedometer, a charge gauge, and a convenient carry handle that were all created with the comfort and convenience of the rider in mind. Riders can modify their individual settings, like as lighting and ride modes, via Bluetooth thanks to a sophisticated phone app. It makes use of a sturdy, heat-treated aluminium frame and wheels, brilliant LED headlights and taillights, side reflectors, and a welded steel lock loop on the kickstand that works with the majority of bike locks.
