Rimac Nevera is the world's fastest electric car. It has been designed and manufactured by Rimac automobiles headquartered in Croatia, that develops and manufactures electric sports car, drivetrains and battery system. The first production prototype car was launched in August 2021 and its production is limited to 150 units and is priced at € 2 million.
The Nevera formerly teased as the 'C_Two' is powered by four surface mounted, carbon-sleeve, permanent-magnetic electric motors, one at each wheel which can produce 1,914 horsepower and 1,741 lb ft of torque, it can clock 0-60 mph in 1.85 sec. This hyper car can reach a top speed of 258 mph. The Nevera also has four independent inverters and gearboxes which enables all wheel drive with software controlled torque vectoring. The front wheel and reel wheel drive can be switched with the help of a knob. And those four motors are powered by a massive in-house built 120 kWh battery which has a claimed range of 340 miles.
This hyper car's body design takes the form and shape of a traditional mid-engine hyper car and it has a length of 187 inches, 78.2 inches in width, a low 47.6 inches in height, 108.1 inches wheelbase and weighs about 4740 pounds. The Nevera is equipped with a giant 15.3 inch six position carbon ceramic brembo brakes with a most effective regenerative breaking technology, electronically adjustable suspension and active aerodynamics. It is equipped with a 20 inch Michelin pilot sport 4s tires.
