In August of this year, Ather debuted its latest offering, the 450S electric scooter, presenting an interesting addition to the electric vehicle (EV) industry. Here's an overview of 450 S.

At Rs 129,999 (effective ex-showroom price, Bengaluru), the Ather 450S is one of the most affordable Ather scooters on the market, making it a desirable choice for EV enthusiasts on a budget.

Powertrain:-

The 450S is powered by a 5.4kW motor that powers it to a high speed of 90kmph and a quick 0-40kmph acceleration time of 3.9 seconds. It has a verified range of 115km. True Range numbers for Smart Eco mode are 90km, Eco mode is 85km, Ride mode is 75km, and Sport mode is 70km. Charging from 0% to 80% takes 6 hours and 36 minutes, while charging from 0% to 100% takes 8 hours and 36 minutes using a home charger. The scooter also connects to Ather Grid, allowing for charging rates of 1.5km/min for 0-50 percent and 1km/min for 50-80%.

The Ather 450S has a redesigned LCD console, which replaces the touchscreen TFT device found on the 450X. Particularly, the display remains outstanding even in bright sunlight. The Pro Pack (Rs 14,000) unlocks a slew of new features, including ride modes, auto indication cut-off, auto brightness, call and audio control, hill hold, coasting regen, and an emergency stop signal. You'll also have access to the True Range display, guide-me-home lighting, and the car Fall Safe feature, which warns your contacts in the event of a collision.

Ather Connect complements the new console, offering onboard navigation, document storage, theft alerts, "find my scooter" functionality, intercity planning, ride statistics, savings tracking, and more through the mobile application. The 450S has updated switchgear and a more luxurious appearance. The scooter is illuminated by LED lighting and has a huge 22-litre underseat storage space. The scooter comes in four distinct colors: Space Grey, Still White, Salt Green, and Cosmic Black.

The 450S has a telescopic fork and monoshock suspension. A 200mm front disc and a 190mm rear disc provide braking. It rides on 12-inch wheels with 90-section tires. Ather offers a 3-year/30,000km warranty on both the 450S scooter and its battery. The charger's guarantee is also three years.
