INDIA'S FIRST AFFORDABLE PREMIUM EV- SIMPLE ENERGY ONE

Simple Energy is preparing to introduce it's introductory electric scooter "Simple one" into EV market and is speculated to launch in India in 2022. It can be pre booked at a refundable amount of Rs 1,947 via the manufacturers official website.

Despite being launched the company is yet to start it's mass production. The prototype of simple one which was launched on August of last year was spotted amidst road testing recently. The Bangalore based Start up Simple Energy announced that there will be minor changes in design and powertrain for their production model.

Simple one is tagged at a price range of Rs 1.09 (Ex-Showroom).

Simple One specifications:

Company claimed a range of 236km from a single charge and can achieve a top speed of 105kmph. Simple one can achieve a top speed of 105 km/h  and 0-40 km/h in just 2.95 sec with its 4.5kW motor. The motor can produce a torque of 72 Nm. 

Other features of Simple one are, capacitive touchscreen with 4g and Bluetooth connectivity, telescopic fork upfront and mono-shock suspension at the rear and disc brakes at both ends. 

Battery:

The motor is powered by 4.8 kWh in house built lithium-ion battery pack which consists of a removable and fixed battery. The battery can be removed and charged from normal power sockets and will take 75 minutes to reach 80% from 0 and the fixed one will take 2.75 hours to achieve the same amount of charge.
